A Newton area native and graduate of UMass Amherst, Josh has worked in Boston Real Estate for over 12 years. He combines a deep knowledge of the market with a ‘whatever-it-takes’ commitment to customer service. He loves the thrill of helping a buyer find a diamond in the rough, as well as coming out on the winning side of a tough negotiation, all while making the experience stress-free for his clients. Josh lives in Jamaica Plain with his wife Sarah, and daughters Sadie and Molly. In his free time, he enjoys walking his dog Teddy around Franklin Park, traveling to Rehoboth Beach, and time with friends and family.
Why He Loves His Neighborhood:
I love the people. They’re diverse, from all walks of life, intellectual and welcoming. I love the eclectic restaurant scene, many of which are authentic. We came from 500 sq feet in Fenway and wanted a bigger space. We started coming to JP as we had a couple of friends here. We fell in love with the parks, diversity, and restaurants.
Favorite Local Pizza:
Ideal Pizza. I love Greek pizza. But my favorite restaurant is JP Seafood. It’s fresh, consistent, and affordable.
Favorite Walking-distance Destinations:
Franklin Park. I’m lucky to live right across the street from it. There are walking trails in the park that make you feel as though you’re in the middle of Vermont.
Favorite Ice Cream Flavor:
Cookies and Cream or Oreo.
Marrying up! Just ask my spouse. =)
Why He’s in Real Estate:
I have been in real estate for my entire career. My first year out of college, I worked in accounting and realized that I didn’t like being at a desk all day. I wanted to work with people. I love that there are so many different components of real estate, so you’re always learning. Buying, selling, investing, renovating, etc. I particularly love that you can be an ambassador to the neighborhoods that you love. I enjoy showing people the great features of our neighborhood. I also love that so many of our clients become friends.
